Time is like a broken-string kite, it flies speedly and unforgiving. My first semester of the first year in university has come to the end. Integrated Studio I teach me
a lot things, giving us a new and different perspective about what we may not know and what we may not understand. Appreciate to all lecturers who guided and inspired us during Integrated Studio classes. Indeed, I spent the most time and effort on RUS 104 studio course.

From the first project where I need to sketch my own self portrait and design our personal logo, this project help us to deep thinking about our self.
Think About Yourself Deeply. Self-criticism.
I have figure out what I really desire for myself.
Look at the world carefully. Open the mind broadly. Sometimes, everything in nature could be our design concept and transform into a great design.
The 2nd project teached me the natural and man-made of the environment in the world.
And then the following project: Sculpture allow me to know that
Every design must have a story behind.
Just like what my studiomaster, Ar. Haris said that, nothing is correct or wrong for the design. Provided you have an explaination, then your design is correct.
The COMFORTABLE chair project and Presentation drawing. let me gain a lot. I finally got the chance to express my creativity and thinking into a design. And then,
Design concept, model-making skills, mock-up before Model, Scale Elevation, Perspective Drawing.
Those are the things i've learned. All of those not teached by classes, I can only learn all of those by "Learning By Doing".
Proceed to following projects- project 5, I had learnt more things.
Technical Knowledges For Architecture - Site Analysis.
Before an architect design and erecting a building, Site analysis and other considerations are essential. Architect need to consider everything. 1st, He need to make a self-visit to the chosen area to observe and gather relevant information about the components or elements of the neighbourhood area. Second, He need to draw the key plan, location plan and layout plan with its dimension, providing detail such as movement network, lot layout, public open space, public facilities and amenities, landscape and street furniture, sun path, prevailing wind and vegetation.
It's not as simple as I could think before designing a structure.
In the next project, Project 6:
Design of Amphitheatre Stage was the most things I've learned. I really learned a lot of lessons through the mistake which our group have made.
Architectural Writing And Colouring Technique
This two are the most important Critiria for the presentation drawing. Without a good skills, my proposal of my design will not looked attractive and impress the client in the future.
Building construction Structure
No matter a real-world construction structure, or model-making, We need building construction structure skills. We should know how a building built up, by what, joints, planks, trusses, beam, post and further more.
Consideration while designing
Design with free-form base on design concept as I like? Oh No! The biggest mistake I ever made. In Architectural design, We should not design a "thing" that can be drawn, but cannot be built. My design should be consider many things such as durable to build it, and the relevant scales.
Be humble and harmony in design
Be humble? How? Attitude?
what I mean is, in design proposal or presentation drawing, We should not too bright, too many colours, No Harmony, No focal Point & Too diffused.
What I've learned is, Sometimes, Simplicity is better than you put every cool things in your design.
Always Remember, Less Is More.
Personality
Want to be a famous Architect? Shows personality. Personality in Architecture is the most vital criteria. The best role-model that shows the great personality are Frank gehry and Zaha Hadid. As we look at an abstract and ramdom form of a building, we can know it's by Frank Gehry. Besides, when there is a free-form lines design on a building, we know, is Zaha Hadid. As an architect, I should have my own style, my own personality, in writing, & in designing.
Teamwork
For integrated, exhibition and live performance projects, I enjoyed working as a team. How to design a booth based on the 'Floating Lines' theme, how to learn a dance in two days, it wouldn't be done without a team.

In a nutshell, in RUS104 Studio I, we learn to observe the built environment, which have been taking for granted before, work together as one group, totally made up of future architects, planners, interior designers, quality surveyors, construction managers, building surveyors and building technologists. We likely seems like a big and happy family in the studio. It was an unique and unforgettable experience. Laughter, sweat and tears are all here in RUS 104.
